We chatted with Sarah from TheMintGardener about the new TheMintGardener Dog Leisure set, dogs, watercolors, and what she is up to!
Inspiration for the Design and how I like the outfit:
Curling up with my furry friends is one of the most comforting things, so naturally a darling beyond-comfortable outfit featuring these favorite little characters is perfect! Watercolor lends itself so well to capturing the fur and darling personalities of our pets: subtle paint layers build to capture texture and moods, so you can feel each dog's sweet disposition. People of Leisure boasts the coziest materials, and knowing everything created with them is good for our earth while also being darling fashion is something to be celebrated. I love lounging in comfort and class, and wearing my furry friends is an instant conversation starter with everyone I meet. And not only does the set fall and hug in all of the right places, the translation of the art to fabric is fantastic! None of the details from the original watercolor is lost, and each doggo gains a layer of soft texture with the incredible 100% made in Los Angeles fabric. This set is a conversation piece that is fashion, fabulous for our world and a delight to wear on the daily.

Sarah Simon is the Artist, Educator and Author at TheMintGardener. Sarah has a new book in the works, scheduled to release in May 2023. She has been teaching people to Watercolor since 2014 and is a thorough, engaging and knowledgeable teacher.
