Eli Tiered Dress in Vintage Black

The tiered dress that goes anywhere and asks nothing of you. A deep mineral-washed black with that uneven, sun-worn quality that makes it feel like a piece with history rather than something fresh off a rack. Three cascading tiers from a relaxed scoop neck tank bodice down to a sweeping mid-calf hem — effortless movement, zero effort required.

How it fits: Relaxed and flowy through the body with a scooped tank neckline, wide straps, and three tiered panels that create volume and movement from the waist down. Loose enough to wear over anything underneath, confident enough to stand completely on its own.

What it feels like: Lightweight slub organic cotton jersey in a deep mineral-washed black with a naturally textured, slightly open weave that breathes easily and moves beautifully all day. Softer and more lived-in than it looks.

Why it's special: Vintage black gives this dress an edge that the other colorways don't have. The tiered construction keeps it from ever feeling heavy or flat — all that movement and volume in a color that works for every occasion from a coffee run to a night out.

Style it with: Combat boots for the sharp contrast moment exactly as shown, or with strappy heeled sandals and a leather jacket thrown over the shoulders for an evening look that requires nothing else.

Care 100% Organic Cotton. Machine wash cold, tumble dry low. Made in Los Angeles.

Today was actually the first day I wore it because it was about 70 degrees today, and it was surprisingly cozy but light weight too! The material feels really nice, definitely love it!

Comfortable casual dress

I do love it, style & material, but if only you make size XS for the dresses & hoodies & everything else basically lol I would definitely buy more.. the S is still too big.

Effortlessly lovely

I love this dress! I dressed it up for a date and dressed it down for a casual errand day. The cut and color are so flattering, I purchased the green one.

Closet staple!

This is the second dress I've purchased from People of Leisure and it didn't disappoint! It's so comfortable and flattering, perfect to be dressed up or down. I love the cut and has someone who is relatively flat chested, it fit great. :)

Beautiful. Well-Made. Transitional.

This dress is everything! I can belt it, add a pretty scarf, or toss on leggings underneath for cold nights. It can be paired with heels or boots (or my vans because who doesn’t love a dress with some cool sneakers?) and be the perfect outfit! I’ve worn it to something dressy and I’ve worn it to the park for a picnic with the kids. It really is the perfect dress. Not only is it transitional- it’s incredibly soft, well crafted, the fit is classic a-line with a wrap top that’s figure flattering to all figures, and the slut in front is just sexy enough. Seriously Prople of Leisure, I need this dress in a cranberry and evergreen color so I can wear it allllll the time!

I love it!

Cute pattern and very flattering. Great fabric for summer.
Although I’m 5’2 and it’s a bit short on me, so it may be too short if you’re tall.

What a fun dress!

This dress is super cool and comfortable. I love that it ties at the waist to create a flattering silhouette. Pairs nicely with a pair of boots.

With 8 percent of global greenhouse-gas emissions being produced by the apparel and footwear industry and 20 to 25 percent of globally produced chemical compounds being utilized for textile-finishing, the industry has become heavily reliant on a business model that is no longer sustainable.
