When you wear People of Leisure, you’ll look good and feel comfortable knowing that we manufacture our apparel with respect for both people and the planet.
Since 2015 our mission has been to partner with fair trade producers, garment workers, artisans and manufacturers to produce ethical fashion collections. Fair trade, to us, is about protecting everyone in the supply chain of apparel.
Here at People of Leisure, we implement a zero sweat policy. Our goal is to make sure that apparel partners are being treated fairly and with respect. We make sure that our partners have a clear understanding of federal and state labor laws, that they maintain time and pay records, they are properly registered, pricing negotiated is accordance with fair trade, and that children are never involved.
We are also standing up to global warming. Not only do we source organic materials, but we try our best to implement a sourcing strategy that helps eliminate waste.
People of Leisure uses ethically friendly techniques such as minimizing water use and recycling fabric that would have otherwise ended up in a landfill.
We also pride ourselves on:
- Perfect Fit – Countless hours and customer feedback has gone into the development of our products, ensuring perfect fits.
- One-of-a-Kind Pieces – All our pieces’ are unique due to dyed or washed patterns. This allows for a one-of-a-kind piece perfect for your capsule wardrobe.
- Garment Dyed Color Palette - All products are colored using garment dye technique. The color is added to the style after it’s cut and sewn to gain and extra deep and lively feeling to the fabric.
- Pre Wash – All of our products are pre-washed before they leave the factory. This prevents shrinkage when washed and keeps the fit over time.
As purveyors in fair trade fashion, we’re here to help you live consciously while making a difference in the world.
Welcome to People of Leisure.
