Effortless, Eclectic Style with The Daily Glance

Effortless, Eclectic Style with The Daily Glance

Hillary is the creator of The Daily Glance, a fashion blog dedicated to effortless and eclectic style. If you take a look at her blog, you'll notice that her style represents the more laid back side of Dallas fashion with a combination of oversized sweaters, jackets and lots and lots of denim.

This week, we spoke to The Daily Glance to discuss her inspiration for her personal style, as well as her view of fashion. Take a look below!

How did The Daily Glance become what it is today?

The Daily Glance is an outlet I started for my love of fashion, travel, home decor, good food and all the other things that inspire me.

How would you describe your personal style?

Effortless, eclectic and full of denim.

What are some of your favorite trends in fashion happening right now?

At the moment I'm really into plaid (especially tailored jackets), anything athleisure (aka track pants) and oversized sweaters/cozy knits.I don't think it's officially fall without them :)

What are some of your favorite home design trends?

I love marble, everything from kitchen countertops to coasters. I also like to decorate with jewel tones and velvet for fall, along with using brass accessories to complete a room.

Who are some of your icons?

I've always been a big fan of Julia Roberts and Kate Bosworth. They both have elegant, timeless style and always look polished and put together.

What is the best fashion advice you've heard (or given)?

Dress for yourself, no one else.

What is your vision for the future of The Daily Glance?

I hope my blog continues to grow and gives girls (and guys) everywhere the confidence and drive to pursue their dreams and inspires them to take a risk with fashion and try something new!

How do you view fashion as "part of a larger whole" in terms of lifestyle, intentional living, personal expression, etc.?

To me, fashion has always been a big part of my life. I think clothes have the power to make you feel confident and comfortable in your own skin, and that doesn't mean you have to spend a fortune on your wardrobe. Some of my favorite items in my closet are under $100!
